She was the third wife (of 4) of Adam Lewis Markey. (Note: the name was frequently spelled Markee and pronounced with the emphasis on the last syllable.)

It has come to my attention that Mercay may not be the daughter of William and Mary Jane Andrews. Until I can find information to support that, I will leave her memorial as it is now. She is buried with William and Mary Jane Andrews and several others of their family. I welcome any information you may have.
