She was married Walter W. Powers on July 2, 1941. They lived in Gardnerville, NV from 1945-1988 where, for 23 years, she worked as the lead secretary at Gardnerville Elementary School. Maxine and Walt moved to Reno in 1988 where Maxine enjoyed attending baseball games at Peccole Park and serving as the Wolf Pack‘s number one fan.
She was preceded in death by her husband Walter; her parents, and sisters JaNeil Blackwood and Maureen Crose.
Maxine is survived by son, Gary (Rosanne) Powers, Reno; brother, James (Barbara) Eardley, Sparks; sisters, Faye Merrill and Merle Jolly, Ely and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by husband, Walter Powers; parents Vernon and Ruth Eardley and sisters, JaNeil Blackwood and Maureen Crose.
At Maxine‘s request there will be no funeral services.
