Olympic Athlete. A weightlifter for the Israel Olympic team, he was one of 11 Israeli athletes who were held hostage and murdered in Munich, Germany by Palestinian terrorists during the 1972 Summer Olympic games. He was the only American-born athlete among the victims, having emigrated to Israel after participating in the 1969 Maccabiah Games.
