University of Minnesota Law School Graduate. Naval Aviator during WWII, squadron VC-12. Retired attorney from the State of Minnesota.

Preceded in death by beloved wife, Mary Elizabeth; and son, Paul.

Survived by 4 children, Kathleen Porter & husband Goran Stockenstrom, Patrick & wife Susan, William & wife Debra, Noel Ann Porter; grandchildren, Erin, Maria, and Maxim; sister, Patricia Struxness; sister-in-law, Margaret Kelly; step-grandchildren, Truda, Trond, and Tone Stockenstrom.
