Age 91, a kind and gentle woman was welcomed home to the Lord on April 13, 2008. She was a loving and caring mother who was always there for her family. Mrs. Kaloz was born August 24, 1916, in Windber, PA. She was a charter member of St. Therese Parish for many years. She also belonged to the rosary club and hand made thousands of rosaries for missions. Goldie enjoyed bowling and playing cards. Surviving are her daughter, Patricia E. (Woody Sr.) Ellis; son, William A. (Claudia) Kaloz Jr.; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Liz Rowell and Mary Johnson and many nieces and nephews. Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, with a 7 p.m. Vigil Service in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. The Funeral Liturgy will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, at St. Therese of Lisieux, 102 W. Randolph, with the Rev. Michael Williams presiding. There will be viewing from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, Rite of Committal will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Contributions may be made to St. Therese of Lisieux Church.
