His death notice was published in the Times-Picayune, New Orleans, Louisiana, on Saturday, June
20, 1906, as follows:
"Theophile P. Bergeron. Thibodaux, La., June 29--
Theophile P. Bergeron died at his home today after a long illness. Mr. Bergeron was at one time a leading business man here, and prominent in political matters.
He was a member of Y. M. B. A., and that Order attended the funeral in a body this afternoon. Inteerment was made in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery."
