Charlie and Cindy Inman were hard-working subsistence farmers who lived in a log house. Census records indicate that the Inmans had three children, only one of whom, William J., lived into adulthood but they did take in a baby, Sarah Eliza "Sadie" Conder when her mother died a few days after she was born. Though they never adopted Sadie, they raised her as their own. Sadie's father, Adam Conder later married Cindy's sister Minerva and moved to Missouri. Cindy's grave marker in the Winters Cemetery was made by her husband, Charlie.
