GUNTER, HELEN LOUISE JOHNSON, age 67 of Dora, AL, formerly of Alabaster, died Tuesday, July 15, 2008, in her sleep at home. She is preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, Alton Raybourn Gunter; her parents, Isaac Whitfield and Rebecca Helen McGuire Johnson; brothers, Douglas and James; and nieces, Jenny Lynn, Rena, and Carol Johnson. Helen is survived by her two children, Kathy Harbison (Nathan) and Kenny Gunter (Ann); grandchildren, Russell and Patrick Harbison and Jonathon Gunter; brother, Tom Johnson (June) and Alton Johnson; sisters-in-law, Virginia and Mayo Johnson; nieces, Elaine, Donna, and Judy; nephews, Steve, David, Mickey, Mike and Mark Johnson; and numerous great-nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be prior to services beginning at 12:00 noon.
