Inventor, Entrepreneur. A native of San Jose, Dorsa and his brothers, Anthony and Sam, founded a food company in 1932, which they later named Eggo Food Products. In 1938 they purchased a potato chip company and shortly afterwards, Frank invented the continuous potato peeler to speed up the production process. In 1953 he invented a machine that allowed him to mass produce frozen waffles and his resulting product, the Eggo waffle, became an instant hit. The Dorsa family continued to own Eggo until it was sold to Kellogg's in 1966.
