ROBERT ZEH, SEXTON OF CHURCH, DIES
ROBERT L. ZEH, sexton at the Episcopal Church of the Ascension and the Episcopal Church Home for many years, died suddenly today at his home, 18 Linden Ave, he had been under the care of a physician for a heart ailment.
Mr. Zeh was born in Berne but lived most of his life in Troy. He was a shirt and collar cutter for many years, retiring while in employee of F. Jacobsen Sons, Inc. He had been sexton of the Church for the Ascension for 23 years, retiring a month ago because of failing health. He retired some time ago as sexton of the Episcopal Church Home.
The survivors are his wife, the former Bertha Borst; two sons, J. Preston Zeh of Troy and Robert W. Zeh of Irvington; two sisters, Mrs. Edgar Armstrong of Schenectady and Mrs. Dewitt Vanderson of Albany; three brothers, Garfield Zeh of Niskayuna, George I. Zeh of Altamont and William Zeh of Albany, and three grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the A. R. Fox and Son Funeral Home, Congress and 13th streets. Rev. Arthur L. Bice, rector of the Church of the Ascension, will officiate. Burial will take place in Oakwood Cemetery.
