He was the son of Evans Willie "Son" Arnette and Sadie Frances Harrington Arnette, and the brother of Lewis Arnette, Mildred Bessie Arnette Snipes Daniels, June Frances Arnette Bryant, and a living sister. He was preceded in death by children, Lloyd E. Arnette, Jr. and Sharon Arnette. His daughter, Jessica Mae Arnette, died in 2005.
Lloyd was a U.S. Navy veteran of Vietnam.
