Hays -- Celestina "Sally" Rohr, 94, died Monday, July 19, 2004, at Hays Medical Center. She was born Feb. 23, 1910, in St. Peter to Peter P. and Veronica (Sander) Rome.

She married Adolph V. Rohr on Nov. 11, 1930, in St. Peter. He died Jan. 13, 1993.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church and Ladies Guild, Hays Medical Center Auxiliary, former Christian Mothers of St. Peter and former Altar Society, Park.

Survivors include two sons, Donald Rohr and wife Nancy, Littleton, Colo., and Thomas Rohr and wife Kathy, Blue Springs, Mo.; six daughters, Darlene Wynne, Oklahoma City, Neyla Kippes and husband Eugene, Hays, Gloriann Geisel and husband Jerry, New Wilmington, Pa., Dora Haughn, Carmichael, Calif., Mary Carothers and husband John, Anthony, and Jolene Wells, Sacramento, Calif.; a brother, Herbert Rome and wife Rita, Shawnee Mission; a sister, Liddy See, Oakley; 19 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Leon Fahey and Mark Wildeman; four brothers, Bernard, Joe, Herman and Charles Rome; and three sisters, Ann Reidel, Beatrice Billinger and Adolphine Maher.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays. A Hays Medical Center Auxiliary Rosary will be at 4 p.m. and a parish vigil service at 6 p.m. Thursday at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 20th and Pine. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Angel Transportation or the organization of the donor's choice.
