Herman Levi Stone, 71, of Decatur died Thursday, April 24 in Decatur Community Hospital.

Services were Saturday at Fundamental Baptist Church in Decatur. The Reverends Willard Bewley and Wilbur Simmons officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery #1.

Pallbearers were Vernie Burris, Kenneth and Bert Caraway, Ralph Belew, Roy Elliott and Darrell Morris

Stone, born November 12, 1908 in Cordell, Oklahoma, married Ruby Martin, May 22, 1926 in Forestburg, Texas. He was a member of Rosston Baptist Church.

Survivors include: his wife; sons H.L. Stone Jr. of Rhome and Wade Stone of Phoenix, Arizona; daughter, Syble Burris of Fort Worth; sisters Lula Maye Roach of Gainesville, Texas and Eula Faye Jones of Sacramento, California; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were made by Coker Funeral Home in Decatur.
