Mr. and Mrs. Koontz came to Nebraska about 44 years ago and located in Nemaha county (sic). About 36 years ago they moved to Pawnee county (sic). The departed was married to O.D. Sisco March 19, 1902, and they made their home in Burchard, Nebraska. Mr. Sisco died in 1908. Mrs. Sisco came to Nuckolls county (sic), Nebraska, in 1918, and made her home in Nelson, where she has since resided. She leaves to mourn her departure three children, 46 grandchildren, 93 great grandchildren and five great, great grandchildren, and an extended circle of friends. She joined the Dunkard church about 55 years ago and was of that faith at the time of her death. She was loved by all who knew her.
Funeral services were held at the home in Nelson, Wednesday evening, August 13th, at 7:30, conducted by Rev. Vincent R. Beebe, pastor of the Nelson Methodist church (sic).
The body was taken to the old home at Burchard, Nebraska, Thursday, August 14th, where services were held in the Methodist church, and the body was laid to rest in the Burchard cemetery (sic).
