Alois was born November 22, 1927 to the union of Ulysses and Savannah Waller. The youngest of six children, Alois was born and raised in Mount Vernon, Indiana. Sisters; Alda Evelyn (Waller) Woolridge, and Marie F. (Waller) Dimmitt, brothers; Frederick Douglas Waller, Lales Van Cecil Waller, and Ulysses "Sparky" Waller,

Nicknamed "Al" by his Mother and Father, he attended Booker T. Washington School and completed his education while serving in the Armed Forces during World War II.

He accepted Christ at an early age and became an active member of the A.M.E. Methodist Church. During his years of membership in the church, he was on the Trustee Board, Treasurer of the Steward Board, and a member of the Male Choir. His other affiliations included the Optimist Club and the Men's "M" Club of Mt. Vernon High School.

Alois was employed at Farm Bureau Co-op for 18 years as a Master Craftsman. He is remembered by his co-workers and friends as a good natured, high spirited individual and perfectionist in his field.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Alda (1985) and Everett (1980).

He and his wife Aileen shared a rich and fullfilling married of 39 years and 5 months. From their union, Regina, their only child was born. Alois also has one daughter Etoria from a previous relationship. Alois was laid to rest at Bellefontaine Cemetery.
