Sgt. Wesley R. Durbin of Hurst, Texas was a 2001 graduate of Dallas Lutheran School where he was an honors student. He volunteered in the Civil Air Patrol in high school, then joined the Marines. After he left the Marine Corps, he joined the Army. He died at age 26 in Tunnis, Iraq, of wounds sustained in a non-hostile incident.
