Army Chief Warrant Officer Rudolf was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 149th Aviation Regiment, Task Force 34, Oklahoma National Guard, Lexington, Oklahoma. He died when the CH-47 Chinook helicopter he was in went down in the vicinity of Tallil. Military officials say the chopper was flying in formation from Kuwait to Balad and none of the other helicopters reported an attack. A malfunction on the Chinook is suspected. He was the mission commander to move the helicopters north. Brady graduated from Durant High School in 1989 where he was voted class clown and went on to Southeastern Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma School of Pharmacy. He had been a member of the Oklahoma National Guard for 20 years and spent eleven years as a Chinook pilot. In 2003, he deployed to Iraq where he served four months in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Brady was a wonderful husband to his wife, Jennifer, and dedicated father to his three sons. He loved taking care of people and really cared about them – he would help anyone who needed it.
