HERINGTON--Glen Fudge, 92, died Sunday, April 27, 2008, at Salina Regional Health Center.
He was born Sept. 3, 1915, in Concordia, the son of Otto J. and Ivy E. (Alexander) Fudge.
He married Frances A. Peterson on Feb. 20, 1949, in Columbus.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served in World War II.
Mr. Fudge was a truck driver for the Rock Island Freight Department for many years. He worked for the power company in Concordia until 1955 when the family moved to Herington.
He was member of the American Legion and the VFW, both of Herington.
Survivors include his wife, Frances, of the home; three daughters, Debbie Stewart of Herington, Linda Richeson of Independence, Mo., and Janetta Messmer of Houston; one son, Stanley Fudge of Gulf Port, Miss.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mabel Fudge; two brothers, Harold Fudge, who died in infancy, and Melvin Fudge.
A memorial service will take place at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2008, at the Penwell-Gabel Herington Chapel, with the Rev. Darrell Geist officiating. Inurnment will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Herington.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Herington and sent to Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home & Crematory, Herington Chapel, 404 S. Broadway, Herington, KS 67449-3038.
