Emma J. (nee Danneman) Nagel, 91, of Overland Park, KS, and a former resident of St. Louis, MO, passed away Monday, June 2, 2003, at St. Luke's South Hospital.

Mrs. Nagel was born February 6, 1912, to Herman and Emma (nee Nansel) Danneman in Kimmswick, MO. On March 31, 1932, she married Peter F. Nagel. In 1946, she started the Our Redeemer Lutheran School lunch program and continued working there for 20 years. She also worked as a medical receptionist for many years. Mrs. Nagel had been a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church for over 50 years. She also had been a member of Our Redeemer's Sunshine Club and Ladies Aide and a volunteer for the Red Cross.

Mrs. Nagel was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, William R. Nagel, one sister, Louise Mueth, and six brothers, Herman, Walter, Ted, Louis, Fred and Edward Danneman.

She is survived by two sons, George and his wife, Wanda, of Shawnee Mission, KS, and Peter and his wife, Jayne, of Silver Springs, NV; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandson; nieces; nephews; and friends.
