"Otto Washington Whitehead Dies"

Furneral services for Otto Whitehead ,71, of Flint, Mich were held Tuesday afternoon at the Duffy-Rainey Chapel. Rev. John Coats and Rev. Lester Dale officiated . The burial was in the Bernie Cemetery.

Mr. whitehead, a former resident of the Bernie and Dexter area, died Friday at the McClaren Hospital in Flint, Mich. He was a carpenter for the Flint Board of Education for 13 years.

Mr. whitehead was born Feb 11, 1896 in Dexter, the son of Sam and Elizabeth Whitehead. He was married in 1916 to Mae Long, who survives.

Their survivors include five sons, LeRoy, Bud, Bobby, Dewayne and Eddie, all of Flint; three daughters , Mrs. Ruby Crow of Clio, Mich,., Mrs. Jean Dorris of Bernie, and Mrs. Joyce Allison of Flint; one brother Tom whitehead of Dexter; 28 grandchildren and five great grandchildren."
