Orvel Clifford Myers age 98, of Gladwin passed away Friday, January 18, 2002 at his home. He was born January 31, 1903 in Billings Township, Gladwin County to Andrew and Ella Mae (Tucker) Myers. Orvel lived here most of his life. He married the former Gladys Barnes in October 1929. She passed away in June 1957. He then married Eva Seipke in November 1958. She died in April 1987. Orvel worked for Buick Motors and Robinson Industries and the Gladwin County Road Commission. He was past Grand Marshall for the Gladwin Centennial Parade and was a long time patron at the Peppermill Restaurant. Surviving is one son, Orvel and Lou Ellen Myers of Flint, one granddaughter Lisa Marie Myers of Flint, one great-grandson Cody Myers of Flint. Three brothers George, Leo and William and one sister, Fannie Wright predeceased Orvel. Services were held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Sisson Funeral Home in Gladwin. Burial will be in Butman Township Cemetery.
