Mrs Lessie Schmidtke 45, life long B'Ham resident died Friday after a brief illness at her home 2205 Av. T Ensley. Services will be held at 2pm Sunday at Johns Ridout's church Chapel. Burial will be in Elmwood. She was a member of Shades Valley Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, E. E. Schmidtke: a son Jerry Schmidtke; four brothers, W. C., Arthur, J. R. and C. P. Kirkpatrick all of B'Ham and four sisters, Mrs Lexie Riddle, Mrs Sarah Buchanan, and Mrs Mae Jackson all of B'Ham and Mrs Grace Buchanan of Gadsden.
