Susannah was the daughter of Solomon RODERICK and Lucy PETERSON. She was the sister of Eli, Mary, and Solomon, and she was the maternal half-sister to four DOYLEs: Itha Elmer, Ida Ellen, Amanda, and Minnie. Susannah was 18 years old and unmarried when her mother died. She married John Henry HENDERS in 1886, when she was 21 years old. She was laid to rest next to her mother, who had died eight years earlier. Buried on the other side of Susannah are her two children who died young.
