We are indeed sorry to report the death of Elmer Bailey, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Elihue Bailey, of this community. After a severe illness of about three weeks he passed away at 11 o'clock on May 19. His wife has been deprived of loving husband, little children of a fond father, and his friends of a devoted comrade. He professed faith in Christ and while on his death bed told his friends in all sincerity that he was prepared and had a home to go to. The community bows its head in sorrow at the loss of this young man who was cut down in the bloom of his manhood. The many friends who called at his bedside during his illness is evidence of the high esteem in which he was held. While we sorrow over the loss of Elmer, let us also rejoice that his earthly troubles are over, that rest without pain or sorrow is his in the world beyond.
