Robert Mark Power, 73 of Central City died Saturday, Jan. 28 at his home after a lengthy bout with cancer.

Mr. Power was born Nov. 3, 1921 near Central City to John Alfred and Rose Nellie (Trainor) Power. He attended District 39 school in Merrick County. He married Evelyn Rose "Evie" Stanislav on April 17, 1945 in Central city. He lived all his life in Central City, where he farmed until his death.

He was a member of the Platt-Duetsche Society in Grand Island.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Deniece (Mrs. James) Paulsen of Central City; a son, Steve Power of Central City; five sisters, Dolores (Mrs. Lewis) Zmek of Dannebrog, Dorothy Armatys of Central City, Marg (Mrs. Les) Chambers of Grand Island, Agnes Clouse and Phyllis (Mrs. Dennis) Williams, both of Santa Rose, Calif; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Vince, Rich, James and Owen; and two sisters, Charlotte and Theresa.
