Mrs. Mary E. Robertson, 69, of Springfield died at 3:30 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Hospital. She was born May 9, 1919, in Eldorado, the daughter of Theodore and Daisy Bean Sauls. She married John W. Robertson in 1980. Preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers, two sisters, and her first husband, Robert Homer Boyd.

Mrs. Robertson had been a resident of Springfield since 1946, and was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She was employed as a tax examiner for the state of Illinois.

Surviving are her husband, John W.; four sons, Roger Boyd, Michael A. Robertson and Roger D. Robertson, all of Springfield, and John Bradley Robertson of Katy, Texas; six grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. William (Myrtle) Cox of Jerseyville; four brothers, Brice Sauls of Sorento, Vernus Sauls of Davenport, Iowa, Theodore Sauls of Phoenix, Ariz., and Donald Sauls of Chiefland, Fla.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services at Staab Funeral Home, with the Rev. Richard Denmark officiating. Burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
