Majean Hughes - JOHNSON CITY
Majean Montgomery Hughes, 92, Appalachian Christian Village, Johnson City, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2008.

A native of Jellico, TN, she was a daughter of the late Clarence E. and Maye Hume Montgomery.

She was employed as head clerk/cashier with Clinchfield Railroad for 32 years.

Mrs. Hughes was a member of First Christian Church of Johnson City.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hughes, in 1990; brothers, Raymond Montgomery and Hume Montgomery; and sister, Louise Moody.

Survivors include nieces, Jane Montgomery Dunkelberg, Margaret Moody, and Mary Jane Moody; nephew, Ric Montgomery; great-nieces, Megan Foster and Christy Montgomery; and great-nephews, Marc Montgomery and Kevin Moody.

The graveside service for Mrs. Hughes will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, December 26, 2008, at Monte Vista Memorial Park with Mr. Steve Hill, Minister, officiating. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50 PM on Friday.
