Fayetta J. Warthan, 86, of Gosport died on Friday, December 26, 2008, at Bloomington Hospital following a brief illness. She was born on October 2, 1922, in Huntingburg, Indiana, the daughter of Harold and Beulah (Simons) Medcalf. She was a retired employee of both Sarkes Tarzian Corp. and S.T. Semicon in Bloomington. Following retirement, she also worked with her granddaughter at Molly's Food Unique in Richland Plaza. She was a member of the Stinesville Nazarene Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Judy (Jim) Hartgraves of Solsberry and Margaret Hill of Bloomington; four sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Treva Warthan of Ellettsville, Clarence and Joetta Warthan of Frankfort, Ind., Charles and Mariann Warthan of Bloomington and Don and Katherin Warthan of Gosport; sixteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and one half-sister, Martha.

She was preceded in death by her husband in October of this year, William L. Warthan, one son, Albert Warthan, one great-grandson and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Stinesville Nazarene Church, with Revs. Ralph Barger and John Patton officiating. Burial will be at Liberty Cemetery near Gosport.
