Leonard M. Vail, Jr. Age 76. Born February 8, 1932 in Orient, Long Island, New York and died December 23, 2008 in Tacoma, WA. Predeceased by father Leonard M. Vail, Sr., mother Katherine (Begley) Vail and sister Betty (Vail) Bondarchuk. Survived by wife Bernice (Gressel) Vail, daughter Kathy Vail-Hamilton, son Charlie (Wendy) Vail, and grand-daughters Laurel, Meghan and Katherine. As his childhood friend, Dave Horton, recently stated "A very inventive, restless, pioneering spirit has left us for a better situation." With much love & fond memories from your family and friends! NOTE: memorial service is January 3rd, 2009 at 2pm, Spanaway Lutheran Church. Burial is January 5th, 11:30a.m., at Mt. Tahoma National Cemetery, military honors.
