He was a masonry contractor for 37 years and was self employed.He attended the former St. Joseph the Worker Elementary School and was a 1971 graduate of what is now the Lawrence County Career and Technical Center. He loved boating, camping, fishing, hunting, dancing and spending time with his family.
In addition to his mother and wife, survivors include a stepdaughter, Amy Noble of Scottsdale; a son and daughter-in-law, Jason M. and Sheila Hogue of New Wilmington; a stepson, Steven Sutherin of Apache Junction, Ariz.; two brothers, Douglas A. Hogue and Daniel P. Hogue, both of New Castle; a sister, Christine Hogue Conley of New Castle; two grandchildren, Nicholas J. Hogue and Michael Z. Hogue; and two stepgrandchildren, Xander Noble and Lacie Noble. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis A. Hogue in 1979.
Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. tomorrow at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, 111 W. Falls St.A procession will leave the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday for St. Mary Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. The Rev. Victor J.
