Spending time with my aunt Emma was always fun. She was always very cheerful. She planted a large garden and fussed about people eating unhealthy food. She also loved to make quilts. I remember when our parents would visit and they would all play cards.

She introduced me to cabbage which I considered not meant for human consumption. She made her recipe when I was about 10 to 12 years old and I loved it. After that she always made it for me when I was coming over. I still make it to this day.

When her health started failing, she lived with her daughter Bonnie. Bonnie's health became such that she was unable to care for her mother and then Aunt Emma stayed with one of her granddaughters.

Schultz, Emma A., of Prague, Okla., passed away at her home March 3, 2006 at the age of 96. She was born June 30, 1909 to Rudolph R. and Otellie (Schmidt) Wiese in Pipestone, Minn. She was Past Matron Amaranth and a member of the Eastern Star. Emma loved gardening and sewing. She is survived by two daughters, Betty Craig and husband Robert of Harrah, Okla. and Bonnie Points of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren, Dennis, Anita and Dan; 10 great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Maranda, Kayleigh, Caleb, Cole Samuel, Justin, Danny, Taylor and Carrie; two great-great-grandchildren, Vincent and Elisha; and many nieces, nephews and other family members. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; two grandsons, Dewayne and Rocky; one granddaughter, Debra; four brothers; and two sisters.
