Obituary: Wooster Daily Record Saturday, 20 September 1947, Elizabeth Halliwell, 77 Dies at Medina Friday SEVILLE-- Mrs. Elizabeth Halliwell, 77, widow of George Halliwell, died at Medina Hospital Friday evening, September 19th. She leaves three daughters, Mrs. (Pearl) Harry Cole of Akron; Mrs. (Golda) Paul Hale of Wadsworth; and Mrs. (Dorothy) Laurence Hemmeter of Seville; one son, Harry (Olive) Halliwell of Sterling; seven grand children, and twelve great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 2:30 from the Seville Methodist church with Rev. Benjamin Black Jr. officiating. Friends may call at the Armstrong and Son Funeral Home, Sunday afternoon and evening. Burial will be made in Seville Mound Hill cemetery.

Her certificate of death states that Elizabeth Halliwell, aged 77 years 5 months 25 days, was a white, widowed female. She died 19 Sep 1947 at 6:45 p.m. in Medina Community Hospital in the township and county of Medina, Ohio. Doctor, Arthur F. Wolf, M.D., her attending physician, listed her cause of death was listed as Hypostatic Pneumonia, onset 7 days. Elizabeth was a housewife, and resided in Seville, Ohio for more than fifty years. She was born 25 Mar 1870 in Shiloh, (Cass Twp., Richland Co.) Ohio to Albert Cramer and Martha May. Embalmer/Funeral Director, Roy D. Armstrong of Seville provided services, and she was buried 22 Sep 1947 in Seville. Her youngest daughter, Dorothy Hemmeter of Seville, Ohio signed as the informant. Her revised death certificate reflects that her name was Mary Elizabeth Halliwell and that her mother was Eliza May.
