Professional Football Player. He played for the University of Alabama and was a consensus All-American in 1942. After graduating he entered the service and was a physical training instructor overseas. Upon his discharge, he played center and linebacker for the Boston Yanks from 1946 to 1948. He played a season with the New York Bulldogs in 1949 and had two years with the New York Yanks in 1950 and 1951. All told, he played in 67 games in six seasons in the National Football League.
