Henry Green Dies at 71
Henry Jasper Green, 71, died at 8:45 last night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Guy Fuller, on East Eighth Street. Born in Texas Valley, May 6, 1874, he had spent his entire life in Rome and Floyd County.
Surviving are his widow, the former Sarah Elizabeth Tolbert; six daughters, Mrs. Guy Fuller, Mrs. John McGinnis, Mrs. D.T. Wilerson, all of Rome, Mrs. A C. Buffington, of Texas Valley, Mrs. H.W. Wallace, of Little Rock, Ark., and Mrs. Terrell Flippin, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two sons, Henry Jasper and W.C. Green, both of Rome; 25 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 o-clock Thursday afternoon in the Sand Springs Baptist Church, with the Rev. W.F. Conn officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
The remains will rest at the residence from tomorrow morning until 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon, when the cortege will leave for the Sand Springs Church. (End of Obituary).

Apparently, the date on the tombstone for his death is incorrect. If the paper had his obituary in the paper on September 11th, and he died the night before, it would have to be September 10th. Thank you Kimberly Streeter for catching this.
