Third son of "Virginia John" Lincoln and Rebekah Flowers Lincoln (the great-grandparents of President Abraham Lincoln); married Dorcas Robinson, born March 15, 1763, died Jan 25, 1840 at Rockingham County; 11 children: David, John, Lydia, Mary, Dorcas, Rebecca, Hannah, Jacob, Abraham, Abail and Elizabeth.

The metal marker in front of the headstone was placed by the S.A.R. which indicates that Jacob fought during or was sympathetic to the cause of the American Revolution.
