Henry Selee Parnell Sr. of Eugene died June 2 of age-related causes. He was 79. No service is planned.
He was born Sept. 28, 1928, in San Fernando, Calif., to Joe and Enna Provence Parnell.
Parnell served in the Korean and Vietnam wars, retiring from the Air Force in 1972 as a chief master sergeant.
Survivors include three daughters, Deborah Donaldson of Hilo, Hawaii, and Cindy DeHollander and Lori Larkey, both of Eugene; a son, Henry of Eugene; two sisters, Gilda Cramer of Eugene and Daisy Johnson of Upland, Calif.; his life partner of 25 years, Nadine Bruns; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
