FORT PAYNE, AL -- George W. Stoner, 92, died Sunday, February 22, 2009, at Dekalb Regional. Mr. Stoner was a WW II and Korean War Veteran serving in the U.S. Navy.


Survivors include daughter, Georgeanna Stoner, Fort Payne, AL; sisters, Jewell Cochran, Henagar, AL and Charlene Dalton, Mobile, AL; several nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. CST at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Randall Stoner officiating.


Burial to follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.


Family will receive friends from noon to 6 p.m. CST today.
