Scott A. "Slim" Bailey Jr., 72, of Suwanee died Tuesday following a brief illness.
He was a lifelong resident of Gwinnett County, an avid hunter and a member of Suwanee First Baptist Church. He was retired from Ace & A Heating and Air Conditioning.
Survivors include his sisters, Dortha Allen, Annie Ruth Rainey, both of Suwanee, Emma Lee Bagwell, Cathrine Nichols, Bernice King, all of Lawrenceville, Janice Mathis, Toccoa brothers, Doug Allen, Kenneth Allen, both of Suwanee and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family received friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 20, 2000, at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Gerald Tanton will officiate. Burial will be in Old Peachtree Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
