Born in Bridgeport, CT the son of Edward Beattie (4-1859-4-30-1901) and Matilda Johnson (4-12-1865-6-7-1910) who were from Ireland. He was 1 of 5 children: Emily, Sarah, Evelyn, John. He married Marie Armendiaz who had a daughter Consuelo. He served in WWI and spent most of his life in Texas. Often visiting his sister Emily Albro and her husband John at Lake Mishnock in Rhode Island.
