Agnes Emily Parker (Mercer) was born in London, England,
February 12, 1869, and passed away at North Platte, Nebraska, on August 22, 1948, at the age of 79 years, 6 months and 10 days.
On December 7, 1885, she was united in marriage to Nelse
Mercer at Lexington, Nebr. To this union 10 children were born.
Her husband and 4 children preceded her in death. After her
marriage, she lived on a homestead northeast of Eustis for 8
years. Then for 23 years she lived northeast of Farnam. Most
of her life she spent in the vicinity of Brady.
She leaves to mourn, four sons; George of Scottsbluff, Earl of Fort Collins, Colo., Harry of Moorefield, and Clarence of Brady; two daughters; Nellie Devine of Oconto and Mable Craig of Moorefield; thirty-eight grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services where held Tuesday afternoon. Aug. 24, from the Olesen Funeral Home to the Methodist Church in Brady. Rev. Otto M. Fabre, church paster, officiated. Dean Johnson sang two beautiful numbers, Miss Lucille Dart accompanying him at the piano. Six grandsons, Lloyd Devine, Kelly Mercer, Norvin Wilcox, Lyle Craig, Dwight Craig and Lennis Craig, served as pallbearers.
Burial was in the family lot in the Eustis Cemetery.
