FUNERAL RITES HELD FOR MR. McMILLAN
Funeral services for Robert Lewis McMillan Sr., 74, were held Sunday, Oct. 29 at Calvary Baptist Church, Rev. Alfred Tanner and Rev. Woodrow Byrd officiated. Interment was in Shady Grove Cemetery with Fails Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
McMillan died Friday, Oct. 27 at his Lucedale home following a brief illness. Born in Jackson County, he was a World War II Army veteran, a retired burner at Ingalls Shipyard, and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Martha V McMillan, Lucedale; two sons, Robert Lewis McMillan Jr., Lucedale, and Billy G. McMillan, Alvin, Tex.; five brothers, Ben McMillan, Jackson, T.W. McMillan, Creole, Ralph McMillan, Biloxi, Harold McMillan, Vancleave, and James W. McMillan, Ocean Springs; three sisters, Ruth Cruich, Mobile, Ala., Nola Mohr, Vancleave, and Clara Burroughs, Pascagoula; and six grandchildren.
