EFFIE BOONE SWANN
SPRUCE PINE-Effie Boone Swann 83, of Swann Lane, died Wednesday, July 9,2003 at the Spruce Pine Community Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Jim and Bessie Willis Boone, and wife of the Arnold Swann. She was a member of Beaver Creek Baptist chruch.
Survivors include a son, Sam Swann of Spruce Pine; sister, Viola Willis of Rebels Creek, and Jennie Griffith, and Ema Lou Wilson, both of Estatoe; a brother Homer Boone of Rebels Creek, three grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 8pm at Beaver Creek Baptist Chruch. Revs, Joel Burton, David Johnson, and Pat Johnson officiated. Burial was at 10am Saturday in Swann Cemetery. The family recieved friends from 6pm until the service hour Friday at the church. Webb Funeral Home of Spruce Pine was in charge of the service.
