Josephine E. Gundrum Garrigus, 87, of Monticello

Josephine E. Gundrum Garrigus, 87, of Monticello died at 8:42 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2005, at Monticello Assisted Living Center.

She was born on April 2, 1918 at Logansport to George and Mary Shockome Gundrum. She married Dave Garrigus at Winamac on May 8, 1967. He survives.

She owned and operated the Main Café in downtown Monticello during the 1960s.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church.

Other survivors include a daughter, Barbara (Bill) Watkins of Mesa, Ariz.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

A daughter, Candace Walters, is deceased. Mrs. Garrigus was the last of her brother and sisters; Robert Gundrum and his wife Dee Gundrum (both deceased) Mary Alice Wooley and Barbara Ann Jines.

Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday at Kroeger Funeral Home, Logansport, and from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, Monticello. A rosary service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.

Memorials may be made to Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church.
