Polly was born on January 19, 1804 at Sandy Creek, Oswego County, New York. She was the daughter of Smith Dunlap and Eleanor Lane. Polly Dunlap married Smith Dyer Pierce in 1824 at Richmond, Richmond County, New York. She died before December 23, 1862 at Addison Twp., Du Page County, Illinois and was buried at the Pierce Farm Cemetery. Her remains were later moved to Rosehill Cemetery about 1865.
