Death notice for S. P. Rounds in the Idaho Statesman, Sept. 14, 1909, p. 2:
"Parma, Sept. 13. -- S. P. Rounds, manager of the Illionis [sic] hotel here, died this evening at 8 o'clock from typhoid fever. He leaves a wife, two daughters and a son. His daughter, Martha, aged 3, is not expected to live through the night. She is suffering from the same disease.
Mr. Rounds was well known in this section and in Washington county, having been connected with a number of hostelries in that county. For some time he conducted the Weiser grill. No arrangements have been made for the funeral.
