William A Creamer was the son of Simeon Creamer and Jane Magill.


William enlisted in the Civil War as a private on 4 Aug 1862, Co. D 81 Regiment of Indiana Volunteer Infantry. Honorably discharged 13 Jun 1865. He lived in Indiana from 1865 to 1869; in Missouri from 1869 to 1879; and in Kansas from 1879 until his death on 17 Jul 1908.


He married Martha Ellen Mayfield in April 1856 in Washington County, Indiana. He and Martha were the parents of five children:


Jerome Penbrook Creamer

Eliza S Josephine Creamer

Edith Victoria Creamer

Sirvetus Virgil Creamer

Baby Boy Creamer


Martha Ellen died in childbirth with the baby in 1881.


William than married Margaret Allen on January 17, 1884 in Bourbon County, Kansas. Margaret had been previously married to Hiram Comstock and had two sons:

Matthew Franklin Comstock
