Along his missionary life, Father Alexandre served in Ouagadougou in Haute Volta, Manga, Pabré, Thibar, Algiers, Azazga and Burkina Faso, holding among others the offices of superior and economist.
Back in France, he served furthermore as superior and provincial counselor of his Order, forming part of the communities of Bonnelles, Bry-sur Marne, and of the house of La Rue Friant. He passed away at Bry-sur Marne on Saturday, March 14, 2009, aged 93, shortly after his sister Claude, likewise a professed member of the Missionaries of Africa, who died on the previous February 25.
His funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, March 18, at the parish church of Bry-sur-Marne at 15 pm.
