LUCY ELIZABETH KIRK SINGLETON, 84, "MISS LUCY" went home to join her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, November 23, 2005. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, November 25, at Memphis Funeral Home Germantown Parkway Chapel. Services will be at 12 p.m. Saturday, November 26 at the funeral home. Burial in Memory Hill Gardens. Mrs. Singleton attended Whitten Memorial Baptist Church for 55 years. She was a Gold Star Mother and an Honorary Colonel in TN Aide DeCamp. She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 60 years, George P. Singleton; an infant son, Roy Lee Singleton, Marine Sgt. Walter K. Singleton, Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient, Viet Nam War and daughter, Betty Jean Burrow. She is survived by three daughters, Sarah Calvery, Arlington, Lucy Faye Harvey, Memphis, Carolyn Murphy, Bartlett; two sons, Charles P. Singleton, Memphis and Bobby J. Singleton, Arlington; a brother-in-law, Clyde Singleton of Nashville; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who adored her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Whitten Memorial Baptist Church or The Marine Corp University Foundation, P. O.
