Born in Alabama, South Carolina, USA, Jeanie McGowan Cantey, daughter of Hamilton Boykin Cantey and Rose McGowan Cantey. Jeanie was the niece of Samuel McGowan Paymaster General of US Navy during the 1st World War.
Jeanie married Julio Bonavia and had two children Julito and Jeanita.
Jeanie died after a short illness of 'cardiac syncope' in the Seno de Muestra, Madre of the Santa Iglesia Catolica, Apostolica Romana. The funeral service was held at the residence of 128 Calle de Bucareli, the internment at the Panteon Espanol on the 15th November 1939.
