Born July 1, 1912 to Georgia Bathus Baker Barnett and George Cleve Barnett, and raised in Hall County, Texas, she graduated from Hedley High School. On November 29, 1934, she married Robert "Bob" Lee Walker. They were married for 68 years, 9 months and 25 days, sweethearts to the end.

Attie Mae "Kitty" Walker was preceded in death by her parents; her infant brother, Everett Barnett; her sister, Elsie Ray Price; her aunt, Lottie Beulah Baker Nase [Robertson]; her uncle, Elmer Cecil Baker, her cousin, Baker Butler Nase, her half-brother, Charles Spencer "C.S." She is survived by her two children, David Lee (Janet) Walker, and Mary Ella Walker, all of Corpus Christi, her three grandchildren, Katharin Kay Walker of Houston, Daniel Lee Walker of Corpus Christi, and Matthew Robert Walker of Fort Worth, her sister-in-law, Ethelyn Goodner of Mt. A native Texan she loved her state, instilling in all of her off-spring her love for Texas. A loyal wife, devoted mother, and doting grandmother, she enjoyed reading, birding, sewing, and time with friends and family. She and Bob were known for their gracious hospitality. Above all, she loved the Lord and tried to live her life according to His Word. She was a charter member of Parkdale Baptist Church.

The children express their deepest gratitude to Glenn L. Bugay, M.D., for the many years of excellent care he provided to both our parents. Thanks also to the staff at CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Shoreline, to those who work for Legacy Home Health Agency, and to the wonderful folks at The Palms, for their compassionate care.
